Travel “St. Pete Pier”byMichael Vasquez (2260 1st Ave. S.) remindsusof the inverted pyramid pier so iconic of St. Petersburg for many years, but now sadly demolished. HOLLYWOOD GALLERY Hollywood’s 10 blocks of murals plus ArtsPark has been the initiative of the Downtown Hollywood Mural Project. Its tour map list 24 murals. Here are a few of our favourites: “Blue Fish on a Wall” by Georgeta Fondos (2001 Van Buren St.) integrates a small wall, back wall and a round window into a perfect art composition. “Concrete Daydream” by Rob Robi (1946 Harrison St.), an ethereal gure of a dreamlike girl, is a relaxing mural which subtly draws you into the scene. “Untitled” by Kenny Scharf (2019 Hollywood Blvd.) features strange expressions on brightly coloured bouncy ball faces. “Mermaids” by Tati Suarez (2020 Harrison St.); Tati’s mermaid murals are famous for their beguiling eyes, her trademark signature. “Untitled” by Ernesto Maranje (1926 Harrison St.) is a mystical-magical ower garden on a turtle’s back. “Under the Sea”by the Vitale Brothers (279 22nd St. S.) features a vibrant, building-long mural of popular sea life.
