Practice Valuations
While the most common reason to value a practice is to plan for a sale, there are many reasons to seek valuation services. Valuation is frequently required in practice situations such as the formation of a group practice, group practice dissolutions, buy/sell agreements, buy-ins, and estate and gift tax planning.
The goal is to provide both owners and third parties with a fair value of the practice or business and a fair way to structure the transaction. We have performed valuations for countless dental and specialty practices, and our techniques have come to be recognized as industry standards.
After some initial discussions to determine your needs, we will send you an appraisal questionnaire. It requests information we will need to complete the valuation. We will then continue the analysis and issue an extensive report. This valuation report is a very powerful tool for the client. Not only will the appraisal report set forth the practice value, but it will also contain a roadmap for structuring the eventual transaction and the expected tax consequences for each party. The report's goal is to provide the structure for a fair transaction so that everybody understands the gameplan and no one will be surprised later on.
